To get to AIE Melbourne, catch any tram with a route number of 3, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 and alight at Stop number 23 on St Kilda Rd. Walk down Arthur St and turn right at Queens Lane where you will see the Atari building.
We’ll be starting promptly at 6pm, ending at around 8, then heading across to the Belgian Beer Bar at 557 St Kilda Rd, Melbourne for a social drink & chat.
A couple of people have asked for pointers regarding 5pm traffic in the city en route to the AIE. If someone could comment with hints & tips I’ll be sure to add them to this post as soon as possible.. thank you!
Second Meeting Wednesday 27 May at the AIE.
There seems to have been an awful lot happening in the merry world of Blender 3d. I’ve received quite a few emails concerning MBS and the consensus seems to be that people want to meet up and talk Blender as soon as possible.
I’ve been in contact with the AIE and they’ve indicated that they’ll be happy to help us once again, so we’ll be meeting up in the Atari Building at 6pm on Wednesday 27 May, then heading to a nearby bar/cafe for an informal debriefing. Please note we’re starting 6pm sharp… try to get off work early if you have to!
Please spread the word, and please feel free to contact me (davidmacara[at]gmail.com) if you’d like to present your work to the group. I’m hoping that this summit appeals to new users and seasoned Blender veterans alike, so please don’t feel that you’ll need to be a master of the interiors of the BGE to find a receptive audience- enthusiasm and creativity are the most inspiring virtues, any day.
